July has come and gone. It is time again for Letters to Our Children. Please take a minute to follow along the circle and see what other amazing mommies have to say to their precious children this month. Next up is Maryrose, you will find the link at the end of this post.
My sweet babies,
It is amazing to see how much you all have grown this past month. Alexandra, you like to hold “big girl” conversations with Mommy and Daddy. It is always interesting to hear what you have to say. Your opinions are already so strong at three years of age. Madeleine, you have transformed from a toddler to a little girl this summer. You are so proud of wearing your big girl panties. And you are so excited about starting school next month! Mr. Malcolm, you are just shy of a year. You have mastered the art of cruising and will be walking in no time.
We had so much fun traveling to California with you this summer. It is so much fun to see you experience new things. We loved exploring the aquarium with you. Madeleine, you always amaze us because you have no fear. You eagerly stuck your hand into the stingray pool hoping to be able to touch one. We had the best time taking you to Disneyland. You went nonstop the entire day, soaking in everything Disney. Once the fireworks ended you all crashed…thank goodness we had Bepa to help carry you all back to the car because you were out cold. Your patience while waiting in lines for rides or the 2.5 hour wait to meet Elsa and Anna truly amazed us. You were perfectly happy setting up camp on the ground and having a conversation with one another.
Not only is it fun for us to see you experience new things, but it is amazing to have the chance to see the world through your eyes. I love to listen to you playing “mommy” and hear how I must appear in your eyes. Thankfully, you appear to re-enact my good qualities and don’t seem to pick up on my failures. I learn so much about your life when I watch you play and overhear your conversations together. You have so much to teach Mommy and Daddy and we are eager to keep learning.
We love you all dearly.
This month all the photos were taken with my iPhone. It has been a freeing experience to only use a camera phone for a change.
The next letter in the series comes from Maryrose.
