Here are a few of my favorite things from February.
We have been loving the Pigeon Book Series from Mo Willems. Madeleine received a few for her birthday and they have been a BIG hit! Note: You have to use your best pigeon voice when reading these books.
I am obsessed with Spark! This vitamin/energy drink has been a game changer for me. I had a really bad soda habit…and after John was born it got even worse (all that lack of sleep!). I don’t like coffee so I was having several cokes or diet cokes a day just to keep up with the kids. A friend told me that I should try Spark to quit my soda habit. I hate to use the word “energy” drink because in my mind I see images of unhealthy beverages like Red Bull and Monster. Spark on the contrary contains over 20 vitamins and minerals as well as caffeine (120mg – the average Starbucks drink has 150+mg) to give you a boost of energy and mental focus. I generally have one first thing in the morning and sometimes have a second one around 3:00pm to help me over the afternoon slump. The best part, since I started drinking Spark 6 weeks ago is that I haven’t had a single soda (or even craved one)! My favorite flavors are watermelon and grape.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadow– This cream shadow has been a daily staple for the last month. The color is gorgeous, pigmented, goes on smooth, stays put, and looks beautiful all day! It looks great on its own or as a base for other shadows. I typically use MAC’s bare study paint pot from lash to brow and then apply the Charlotte Tilbury shadow in Marie Antoinette from lashes to crease with this brush.
I am in love with Kevyn Aucoin’s Contour Book which unfortunately is no longer available. However, this one is similar. We have traveled a bit over the last month and this has been the perfect travel companion. I can use it to highlight and define my face as well as do a complete eye look with it. I just throw it into makeup bag along with my concealer, powder, mascara, and gloss…I am good to go.
What have been your favorite things lately?
