Family Life…How far apart are your children in age?http://imperfectlywonderful.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=825&action=edit#
People often think Alexandra and Madeleine are twins, but they are 14 months apart. Malcolm is 19 months younger than Madeleine. We had 3 children under 3 for awhile.Did you plan for your children to be so close together?
Yes, and we love it!Did you have a third child because you wanted a boy?
No, we had another child because we wanted to expand our family. We are and would have been pleased with whatever God chose to bless us with. I cannot believe how often I was asked, “so you’re going for the boy?” while I was pregnant with Malcolm. And I still cannot believe how often I am told today, “you got your boy, guess your done.” It is rude people! Mind your own business. I’d like to think people put more thought into having a child other than the fact that they want one gender over another.Do you want more children?
Yes, hopefully we will be blessed with more. How do you handle having 3 small children?
Prayer, teamwork, early bedtimes, and sometimes wine! 🙂Do your kids share a room?
Yes, Alexandra and Madeleine began sharing a room when Malcolm was about 6 months old. They love sharing a room together and I often find them asleep in the same bed in the morning. Yes, sometimes, I can hear them running around like banshees after we have out them to bed, but usually they are so wiped out from their busy day that they fall fast asleep. I love hearing them through the baby monitor having sweet conversations or singing to each other. It melts my heart. What religion are you?
We are Catholic.
Baby & Child Gear…What kind of stroller do you have?
When I was pregnant with Alexandra, my mother-in-law gifted us with an Orbit Baby Stroller. I absolutely love it! It has been our most used baby item for sure. We started with the basic travel system (stroller base & infant carseat). As our children and family has grown we have added the toddler carseat, toddler stroller seat, and two sidekick skateboards. The swivel feature is amazing! It is perfect for fitting your stroller at a restaurant table when your baby is too small for a highchair and it makes strapping in a rear facing child a breeze. And I love the fact that I can breeze through airports or shopping centers with all three children onboard by utilizing the sidekicks. I cannot tell you how many times I have been stopped by people wanting to know more about my stroller. How do you fit three carseats in your car?
I have three carseats across my backseat. Malcolm is rear facing behind the driver in the Orbit Toddler Car Seat, and the girls are forward facing in Diono Radian Car Seats which are narrower than most carseats on the market. I also like that the Diono has a lower profile so the girls can easily climb in on their own.Where do you buy your children’s clothing?
Photography…What kind of camera do you use?
Two years ago I upgraded from my beloved Canon 40D to the Canon 5D Mark III . If you are new to photography the Canon 40d or similar models are great for beginners. I recommend purchasing the camera body only and then adding lens separately instead of buying the kit (camera & lens).
