Here’s a quick run down of some of favorites from April!
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder My experience with translucent pressed powders has been hit or miss. Many that I have tried leave a chalky appearance on my skin, but this one is perfect. I apply it with a large, fluffy brush to set my BB cream or foundation for the day. It looks natural on the skin and doesn’t get cakey or change color after wearing for awhile. I would toss it in my bag, but I have noticed that I don’t have to touch up later in the day…definitely a plus!
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Airy Fairy I have been loving this pretty, pinky, nude lipstick. It is perfect for everyday and the price is a bargain as far as lipsticks go!
Burts Bees Baby Oil I picked this up on a recent trip to Whole Foods. Usually I slather the kids down with lotion after their bath and then help them struggle to get into their pajamas because their skin is so tacky that the pajamas just stick to their bodies. Problem solved with this baby oil! I apply this when they stand up to get out of the bath before toweling them off and it absorbs quickly leaving their skin soft, but not tacky…and it gets bonus points because it is way faster than applying lotion!
Johnson’s No More Tangles Spray Detangler This is an oldie but goody. The girls’ curly hair gets so tangled on a daily basis. We have tried every detangler out there, but we tend to come back to this one again and again. (We also really like this one). We pair it with a wet brush…key for getting rid of tangles!
St. Tropez Self Tanning Mousse I am pale and I burn in an instant and never tan; therefore, I have tried just about every self tanner on the market over the last 25 years. This is one that I purchase again and again. I like the mousse version the best because I find it is easier to blend and dries faster. I apply it with a mitt. I think it gives a very natural, brown tan. It wears/fades well and the smell isn’t too bad. I only use this on my body. For my face, I use this. I apply 4-5 drops mixed into my night time moisturizer.
Madewell Whisper Cotton T-shirt I picked up this t-shirt in navy and love it! The cut is fitted, but not too tight. The fabric is so soft and it washes well. I am hoping to grab a few more in the near future.
Thai Peanut Chicken – this crockpot meal has been a lunch staple lately. So easy to prepare and healthy too!
Girlfriends Guide to Divorce – This tv series was my guilty pleasure this month.
And my last favorite of April (but definitely not least) has been my friends…really great friends who aren’t afraid to speak up! 🙂
