I was inspired by Erin at Sunny Side Up to throw a Favorite Things Party. She has attended one the last several years and I thought it would be so fun to host one of my own. So in early December my friend, Laura, and I threw our very own Favorite Things Party for our friends. What is a Favorite Things Party you may ask? Everyone invited chooses one of their all time favorite things that is around $15 and brings three of that item to the party. After eating and lots of socializing we took turns showing what we brought and explaining why it was our favorite thing. After everyone had a turn talking about our favorite thing we would go one at a time and pick an item to take home. We repeated the process two more times until everyone had three new favorite things to keep. There were so many great ideas…it was really hard to pick a new item to try.
Here are the 2015 Favorites:
Charter Club Super Soft Socks: Who doesn’t love warm, cozy socks during the winter? These are perfect for cuddling up in!
Uppity Stuff Aprons: How cute are these aprons? I love wearing an apron with pockets when I am cleaning so I can shove small random things that are out of place into my pockets and then deliver them to their proper place.
Beauty For Real Light Up Gloss: How genius is this packaging? There is a mirror on the tube and an LED light in the wand so you can touch up anywhere! Great gloss too!
Caldrea Hand Lotion in Rosewater Driftwood: This lotion is supposed to be amazing for those who suffer from dry hands.
Araya Chocolate: What’s not to love about gourmet chocolate?
Gam Hammer: This might be the most used item in my house. It is a hammer that has one phillips head and three flat head screwdrivers in the handle. Awesome, right?
Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Fig & Anthropologie Volcano Candle: My friend insists this lip shimmer is the perfect everyday shade. She also threw in her favorite candle from Anthropologie…it is the scent they burn in the store, Volcano. Obsessed with this smell (tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens)!
Sweaty Bands Non Slip Headband: These headbands stay in place throughout your workout or just running around the town. Plus they are super cute!
10 foot iPhone Cord: This was what I brought as my favorite thing. I love that I can easily read in bed on my iPad while still charging it. Plus it is awesome for travel…hotel outlets are never in a convenient place!
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Manicure Duo: My friend swears by this gel polish for achieving a long lasting manicure at home. No light needed for the gel to cure and it removes easily with polish remover.
The Path of Tea Organic Kagoshima Sencha Tea: My sister-in-law brought this tea as her favorite pick. Their website describes the flavor as bold yet smooth with low astringency and the perfect balance of bitter-sweetness.
Cut Glass Cake Stand: Aren’t these beautiful? My friend brought three different platters similar to the one linked here. She loves to use them for entertaining. She found hers at Marshalls.
Norwex Cleaning Products: I brought home the scrubby EnviroCloth thinking it would be just like any other microfiber I have in my cleaning stash. Boy was I wrong. This cloth is amazing! I love that I can get rid of 99.9% of germs by cleaning with just this cloth and water. No scary chemicals to harm my family! Now I can let my children help clean without thinking twice. I now have my own little Norwex supply of cleaning products and I love them all!
Natalini Picture Frame: These hand crafted Italian frames are stunning. There are so many to choose from that you could surely find a style to fit any decor.
Ike Behar Ladies’ Reversible Fashion Wrap: This wrap is perfect for chilly nights. I love the Burberry-esqe plaid on this one.
It was so much fun throwing a Favorite Things party. I cannot wait to do it again next year!
